All Proceeds Go To Samaritans NYC
Despite its comedic, fantastical, and over-the-top elements, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot delves into very real and heavy crises affecting our society today: depression and suicide.
Samaritans is a nonprofit organization that provides suicide prevention awareness and education, as well as 24-hour crisis hotlines that are operated by volunteers. Since all proceeds will be going to this cause, by coming to see our play, you are indirectly playing a role in saving innumerable lives.
No parent should have to bury their child… it’s not in the natural order of things…
Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among people aged 15 to 24 in the United States. Most of us know at least one person in our lives plagued by this epidemic, yet what is even more concerning is that most of us have people in our lives suffering in silence.
We are not looking to make a profit with this production, we are looking instead to encourage our audiences to have mercy and empathy for one another, as well as faith in ourselves. Therefore, anything we gain shall be donated to a cause that spreads this message further.
